Beer-Thirty

Cedar Springs Brewing Company opens their doors to the public on Friday. You don’t want to miss this!

On Monday afternoon, Michael, Jesse and Alan drove to Cedar Springs, which is north of Grand Rapids. Because Ohno designed their website, logo and other branding items, we were fortunate enough to be invited to a VIP preview.

The food and beer were well worth the drive. Our only disappointment was we had to work Tuesday morning, so we couldn’t stay as long as we would have liked.

For now, the beer menu is limited. Owner David Ringler said he expects to have 3 or 4 beers ready by this weekend. More beers will be added to the menu. If you enjoy beer, it’s a sure thing you’ll find a new favorite here. If you are not a beer fan, you’re still going to love Cedar Springs. They carry Old Cedar Creek Sodas, Vino131 wines and Cedar Cider.

The food is outstanding as well. Alan got a burger that was so hearty he ended up needing a knife and fork to eat it. Jesse said the fried chicken was extraordinary. Michael ordered a hot, crispy pretzel so big it was served on a platter. We’ll definitely be returning. One menu item that we have to try is a burger topped with pulled pork and barbecue brisket. The menu says it will feed 2 to 4 people.

The public grand opening is Fri., Nov. 13 and Sat., Nov. 14. The brew pub is at 95 N. Main in Cedar Springs, Michigan. Visit the website here.

If you see the Ohno team there, stop and say hi. We’ll even let you buy us a beer!
