Zack Rueger

Zack teamed up with Ohno Design in 2018 after graduating from Kendall College of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s Degree in graphic design. He also worked at Blue Thumb Digital, gaining experience in social media, advertising design, websites, and photography.

I love problem-solving and getting to work on a wide variety of projects. I look forward to making something new every day. I’m always learning something new and finding new ways to apply what I know. It’s always cool to see something out in the world that I had a hand in making.
When I’m not at work, there is a good chance I’m still designing. My mind is always going and I’m thinking of new design projects for myself. Besides design, I’m a big hockey fan and I also like football. In my free time, I enjoy reading (books and comic books), watching movies, and playing video games.
I got the chance to do some freelance work while I was at Kendall College of Art and Design. After graduating, I worked at Blue Thumb Distributing and Blue Thumb Digital. While I was there, I managed social media accounts for clients, designed advertisements, updated websites, and even shot some photos.
One of my passions is finding great design around the world and learning everything I can from it. I’m always learning something new and finding new ways to apply it.
As a kid, I could keep myself occupied all day with a pad of paper. Art class became my favorite when I started school. I was always drawing in my notes in school. I remember telling my parents that I wanted to be a starving artist when I grew up … but then I didn’t think the starving part would be good.
Ohno is a company that really cares about its clients and genuinely wants to make its projects the best by staying up to date with ever-changing technology and modern design.
The people at Ohno make all the difference. Everyone brings their unique personality and skill set to each project. It’s a very collaborative workplace and I think that makes each project show the best of each of us.
