Crim 2006 Schedule

For many, it is the 10-mile race that defines the Crim. But the solo event of 1977 has grown into a year-round program culminating in a three-day splash each August.

People participate in a variety of races - 1 mile, 5k, 8k and 10 miles - during the splash. They run, they walk, they wheel. Then, there's an expo to help focus attention on fitness, nutrition and skills.

There's fun and food at a pasta party, at a pancake breakfast and a Post-Race Party.

You don't have to run, walk or wheel. Become one of the thousands in formal volunteer roles contributing to the Crim, or just show up on the sidelines to cheer runners and walkers and acknowledge the Special Olympians. Come sample Flint's food under the Post-Race party and listen to Mitch Ryder. Sponsor a duck and help Michigan Special Olympics.

Some don't quit even after the big splash. They run together again on Sunday morning.
